An experienced front-end engineer and automation expert is needed for a Direct-Hire Senior Software Quality Engineer position in West Chester, PA!

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for key aspects of the automation of test scripts for IT projects and maintenance items, implementation, making sure that any and all issues are found in testing and resolved before implementation. This position offers an annual salary that ranges between $96K and $110K.

Responsibilities of the Senior Software Quality Engineer include:

  • Defining, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, reviewing and providing feedback to other team members.
  • Working with Functional teams to understand how to reduce manual testing and recommending functional areas that could benefit from Automation.
  • Understanding applications, integration points and key business drivers.
  • Escalating issues to the QA Lead/Management.
  • Recording and tracking issues uncovered during the execution of tests scripts and proposing fixes after determining root cause.
  • Providing timely and accurate status defect information and appropriate metrics to facilitate QA project reporting.
  • Reviewing user stories/requirements and specifications and providing input.
  • Developing and executing complex SQL queries.
  • Contributing to the development of the automated test plans and overall testing approach.
  • Maintaining accuracy and currency within the Automation Framework and test suite.
  • Assisting in the preparation of automation test estimates and project schedules.
  • Working closely with the Test teams to promote best practices and to understand project demands.
  • Coaching QA leads in Automation concepts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in developing and implementing business applications or in Quality Assurance.
  • Experience with code evaluations and conducting code reviews
  • Experience with Front-end Development technology (Agular JS, Phantom JS, HTML5)
  • Experience with JIRA, Jenkins, GIT, and Oracle, Web and Middle tier testing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in leading test automation projects (great with Selenium, Appium, Postman, SOAPUI, TestNG, XUnit, JUnit, NUnit, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years of application complex development experience, preferable with Java, Ruby, Shell, Python, C, C++
  • Experience in Mobile Testing and Automation (Selenium, Appium, Calabash/Ruby, Cucumber)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with script execution through ALM and SQL (preferred Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server 2000)
  • Strong leadership capabilities and works well on a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and planning ability with an acute attention to detail
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Knowledge of Risk Management, Statistical Analysis, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control practices
  • Experienced with architecture design and integration of frameworks and multiple modules
