A Direct-Hire Senior Demand Planner position is currently being recruited for in Carneys Point, NJ!

It is and has always been their mission to create quality products that exceed customers’ expectations.

The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for partnering with other departments and conducting research to develop appropriate demand forecasts. This full-time position offers an annual salary of $90K!

Responsibilities of the Senior Demand Planner include:

  • Overseeing demand planning and management processes for new and existing products.
  • Analyzing historical sales trends to project future product demand by category, customer, item and location.
  • Providing support on developing seasonal demand forecasts and anticipating customer reaction to promotions, events, and lifts.
  • Partnering with customers, sales, and supply chain to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Establishing and maintaining a 24-month rolling forecast to support branded and private label products with gross sales above $500M.
  • Leading the monthly S&OP process to gain consensus forecast across the organization.
  • Anticipating market trends in conjunction with sales and marketing through research.
  • Developing and implementing initiatives to drive process improvements.
  • Preparing information for monthly sales meetings, highlighting major changes to future forecasts.
  • Spearheading root-cause analysis in major forecast variances.
  • Organizing and coordinating forecasts for new item launches.
  • Determining the effectiveness of alerts and control limits and owns all metrics related to the demand plan.
  • Addressing demand related queries as soon as possible.
  • Supporting and mentoring other planners as needed.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3 years in demand planning (and experience with sales)
  • Strong computer and standard desktop application skills.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.)
  • Intermediate knowledge of ERP/MRPII functionality (QAD)
  • Strong multitasking, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using statistical models and calculations
  • Proven experience analyzing data and getting measurable results from that analysis
  • Great leadership skills and works well on a team
  • Results driven with excellent communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to business needs
  • APICS and CPDF Certification a plus!
