This is with a Large P& C Insurance company looking to add a talented PM with a “GET IT DONE” attitude.

We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, planning, coordinating, directing and designing all project activities. This role will also provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage PMO activities from beginning to end.
  • Conceive, develop, and deliver techniques, practices, procedures and policies that best protect company interests.
  • Facilitate process improvement initiatives and administer Service Management processes.
  • Assist CIO leading the ITSC and oversee change management process.
  • Advise and define recommendations that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop, establish, implement, and enforce vendor guidelines, obligations, and service level agreements to the organization.
  • Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications in accordance with licensing agreements.
  • Negotiate terms, conditions of sale, and warranties of software applications with key suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
  • Where necessary, negotiate terms, non-disclosure agreements, and other related issues with consultants, contractors, and other third-party agents.
  • Monitor for compliance with organizational needs and requirements, including follow-up checks for corrective action.
  • Assist others on team in developing and implementing all software purchasing policies.
  • Effectively communicate control strategies to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in the field of Computer Information Science.
  • 15 years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of strategy development and execution.
  • Deep understanding of Service Management Principles and ITIL processes.
  • Certifications in project management.
  • Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, across a wide variety of areas.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of software application products and services.
  • Superb budgeting, inventory, and cost-management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • General knowledge of accounting, finance, marketing, and logistics.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities in spending strategies, product demands, and purchasing timelines through analytical capabilities.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and diplomatic.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Adept at conducting research into software-related issues.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Customer service skills an asset.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
