A candidate with lending experience is currently needed for a Direct-Hire Mortgage Loan Processor in Memphis, TN!

As the Mortgage Loan Processor, you are responsible for working in the Loan Department and managing certain duties for designated loans, including data entry and communicating with clients. This position offers full-time hours offers an annual salary of $40K and $45K!

Responsibilities of the Mortgage Loan Processor include:

  • Processing conventional and portfolio mortgage loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit, and Second Mortgages to verify all documents and/or conditions are in the loan packet.
  • Reviewing information to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to policies and requirements.
  • Gathering background information on loan applicants and research discrepancies.
  • Communicating with members and loan officers to obtain missing/updated documentation.
  • Collaborating with management to resolve loan issues.
  • Coordinating loan closing with members, loan officers, and third parties.
  • Communicating loan terms and conditions to new lenders.
  • Entering, reviewing, and updating information in the mortgage loan operating system.
  • Ensuring any necessary and critical changes have been accurately notated and checked in the loan origination system for compliance.
  • Prioritizing workflow in accordance with the company’s goals and expectations.
  • Disbursing all loan funding, close loans accurately and timely.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum 4 years lending experience (2 years in indirect/residential first mortgage processing preferred)
  • Knowledge of GAP, ACH, and GL’s
  • Advanced ability to analyze complex tax returns and calculate income for all types of borrowers.
  • Advanced knowledge of Conventional Mortgage loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit and Second Mortgages as well as residential mortgage lending processing, related requirements, procedures and operations
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State guidelines, rules and regulations such as RESPA, TILA, HMDA, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Works well on a team
  • Excellent organizational skills, typing ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel
