A Customer Service Representative is currently needed for a temporary position with full-time hours in Mount Laurel, NJ!

Our client company is a specialized South Jersey medical practice and the first choice for those in the South Jersey and greater Philadelphia area for services in this field! They are the largest practice of its specialization in the area, with over 30 highly qualified physicians. They provide serious medical solutions in a diverse amount of areas and are committed to helping patients recover by inspiring hope, instilling confidence, and, of course, tailoring medical expertise to each patient.

The Customer Service Representative is primarily responsible for phone call related tasks, as the position is in a call center. The ideal candidate is outgoing, has previous experience, and is dedicated to customer service. This position pays $15 an hour!

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include:

  • Answering phone calls in the Phone Unit, which includes scheduling, rescheduling, managing cancellations, taking messages, and fulfilling other patient requests.
  • Acknowledging patient’s arrival in a timely and pleasant manner.
  • Distributing and updating HIPAA paperwork each visit and obtaining proper signature through EMR.
  • Collecting co-pays.
  • Informing patients of outstanding balances and requesting payment.
  • Ensuring precertification is obtained for certain procedures.
  • Balancing all monies collected against the office/procedure visit.
  • Coordinating patient flow with clinical staff.
  • Becoming knowledgeable about satellite offices.
  • Gaining a working knowledge of urology terms.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • Previous medical office/medical scheduling/Medical Assistant experience
  • Previous experience handling patient information and experience with confidential information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Very comfortable being on the phone and working in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Must understand HIPPA
  • Organized, eager, and able to multi-task
  • Previous call center experience is a plus!
