Contemporary Staffing Solutions needs a .NET Programmer/Analyst for a three-month contract in Philadelphia, PA on Market Street. The .NET Programmer/Analyst will build and maintain enterprise software applications and related components using a variety of Microsoft technologies and platforms to support internal requirements.

The salary for this position is fantastic, and while it is a short-term contract, it has the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.


Responsibilities of the .NET Programmer/Analyst include:

  • Creating, delivering, and maintaining applications, reports, and integration components using a mix of new and established technologies within the Microsoft stack.
  • Consistently producing high-quality code and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Performing other support and operational duties as assigned, potentially including maintenance of existing code base, SQL and SharePoint administration, development of financial reports, and administration of the firm's accounting software environment.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in application design and development using several .NET technologies, such as C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.NET, Windows Forms, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and WCF
  • Basic understanding of SQL queries and related database concepts
  • Solid understanding of application development fundamentals, including OOP, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • Strong verbal communication skills to effectively and work closely with business owners and other stakeholders within and outside IT
  • Business focused with the ability to produce production-quality code and meet mutually determined deadlines
  • A strong desire in learning new technologies and systems
  • Demonstrated personal commitment to continuous improvement
  • Experience writing or maintaining database applications and knowledge of HTML and CSS is highly desirable
  • Experience with SQL Server administration and LINQ and Entity Framework is strongly preferred
  • Experience with SharePoint or Drupal is a plus
