A Technical Services Analyst is currently being recruited for a Direct-Hire position in San Diego, CA!

Our client company produces specialized diagnostic tests that provide support the fields of women’s health, reproductive medicine, and oncology. They are an accredited laboratory that make their services as affordable so that patients can worry about one less thing.

The Technical Services Analyst provides technical support (system, software, and hardware) to clients, employees, and associates, and for implementing changes to current applications. This position pays an annual salary that ranges between $55K and $70K and is dependent on skillset.

Responsibilities of the Technical Service Analyst include:

  • Creating and deploying feedback mechanisms for end users, analyzing the results, and making improvement recommendations and carrying out those improvements.
  • Evaluating documented resolutions and analyzing trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
  • Conducting research into software application products.
  • Aiding in the testing of new and existing software applications.
  • Receiving and handling users’ technical issues.
  • Documenting all pertinent end user identification information.
  • Performing hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Documenting the problem-solving process used to tackle issues.
  • Communicating application problems and issues to key stakeholders (management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders)
  • Testing fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Discussing and coordinating with department heads what the needs of training are and how such programs/classes would be carried out.
  • Posting software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on company intranet to assist in problem resolution.
  • Providing guidance to junior members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Cisco Telephony and computer network systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving techniques
  • Knowledge of current industry trends
  • Experience with building and maintaining databases
  • Self-motivated and a quick learner
  • Flexible and adaptable to business needs
  • A team player that also works well independently
  • Works well in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills
