A Revenue Accountant is currently needed for a position in West Chester, PA!

Our client company is a network of United States’ private schools. They consist of over 200 schools in more than 18 states. The talented and dedicated educators and school administration at these schools, which include preschools, K-12 schools, and online schools, prioritize the needs of students and families by offering several ways to learn and other valuable resources.

As the Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing revenue transactions and ensuring they are accurate and in accordance with the company’s revenue accounting policies. This is a temporary-to-hire positions that offers $23 an hour!

Responsibilities of the Revenue Accountant include:

  •      Addressing businesses’ needs related to revenue and other business processes including answering employee questions and researching problems with customer accounts. 
  •      Assisting with accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and other relevant areas’ functions. 
  •      Preparing analysis of key revenue accounts to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes and management decision making. 
  •      Performing cash reconciliation utilizing Trintech software and online bank websites, generating daily cash sweeps, and reviewing credit card exceptions.                                             
  •      Collaborating with other employees to recommend and implement new projects and/or opportunities for improving current processes.
  •      Interacting with internal and external auditors.
  •      Performing time-sensitive ad-hoc querying and reporting of data to answer specific, spontaneous questions for management.
  •      Assisting in accurate and timely month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
  •      Maintaining spreadsheets, records, and files related to monthly close process.
  •      Clearly and precisely explains issues, procedures, and technical functionality to users including field and management.

  •    Associate’s degree in Finance or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  •      Minimum 2 years of accounts receivable and/or accounting experience
  •      Experience working with automated accounts receivable systems and software
  •      Working knowledge of general ledger and feeder systems with a proficiency of utilizing reporting tools to compile, analyze, and interpret data
  •      Demonstrated understanding of corporate month-end close process. 
  •      PC proficiency and skilled in Microsoft Office, e-mail, reporting tools, and Web-enabled applications (knowledge of NetSuite a plus!)
  •      Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  •      Great time-management, prioritizing, and multitasking skills as well as attention to detail
  •      Must be able to travel when necessary
