A Legal Secretary for a is currently needed for a position with full-time hours in Boston, MA!

The Legal Secretary is responsible for performing clerical duties as well as assisting attorneys with their workload and cases. This position pays an annual salary of $60K to $80K.

Responsibilities of the Legal Finance Secretary include:

  • Greets and assists visiting clients; projects a professional demeanor in all client interactions
  • Performing all tasks associated with document production including revisions, formatting, printing, filing (including eFiling), and preparing reports.
  • Scheduling meetings and conferences, maintaining calendars, preparing travel itineraries, and arranging travel.
  • Monitoring incoming mail, e-mail, and answering phones and maintaining contact with clients and other personnel.
  • Consistently provides an exemplary level of client service to both internal and external clients.
  • Screening and routing mail.
  • Assists with preparation of RFPs
  • Reading and reviewing documents for attorneys.
  • Preparing invoices and tracking payments.
  • Prepares and processes new business intake forms
  • Maintaining client/attorney confidentiality.
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned.

  • High School diploma/GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of legal secretarial experience
  • Proficiency with filing and scheduling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as Adobe Acrobat
  • Incredibly organized multitasker who takes initiative and pays great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • A team player who can also work well independently
  • Adaptable and flexible to business needs (such as occasionally working overtime)
