  • Information Technology Manager

Job Description:

  • The Information Technology Manager will be in charge of the company's operational requirements related to desktop infrastructure and collaboration technologies such as Exchange, SkypeForBusiness, Mobile, and SharePoint. The person fulfilling this role will be expected to further optimize the efficient use of current resources as well as identify opportunities for enabling our business to meet its objectives via current or new technologies.  This role also requires the ability to manage technical staff to meet the demands of a dynamic work environment with the means to produce the workload to report progress accurately to senior management. Given, the dynamic nature of our environment the individual fulfilling role must have an interest in process and ultimately workflow improvement being able to define scope, assess requirements along with effective planning in order to deliver value-added results to the organization.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain that designated technology platforms meet existing and future requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and appropriate use.
  • Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and off-the-shelf hardware and software across the company’s network.
  • Lead research and make recommendations on the next generation technology products, services, and standards in support of continuous improvement and driving the business forward.
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.

 

Formal Education & Certification:

A Bachelor’s degree preferably in the field of computer science or other related academic fields. 3+ years in relevant hands-on technology work with 1+ relevant leadership/manage experience.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills as this work entails managing technical staff, assigning and organizing tasks, as well as developing new talent and cultivating new ideas.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to think independently and build consensus within their own as well as cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Good understanding of the desktop, exchange, and other satellite technologies and best support practices.
  • Practical experience with IT development and project management methodologies.
  • Good understanding of any relevant government and industry regulations to ensure compliance of IT with all requirements (i.e. CIS guidelines, SOC Controls, HIPAA).
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
