Help Desk Analyst

(HelpDesk) staff duties including

  • Answering support calls
  • Managing tickets
  • Resolve level 1/2 tickets and escalate when needed
  • Use various software tools and provide remote client support
  • Check client backups and identify issues
  • Install devices such as a PC, smartphones, printer/scanner by following a setup template
  • Basic virus remediation using established guidelines
  • Occasionally works at client site under the direction of a more senior staff member
  • Other duties as assigned – there is no such thing as “not my job”

Job Requirements

  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Basic TCP/IP, default gateway, configuring network interfaces, basic DHCP concepts
  • General familiarity with Windows Desktop operating systems. We expect some knowledge of Windows 7and 8. It is not as important to know Vista or XP.
  • Networking fundamentals including but not limited to hubs/switches, routing concepts, firewall concepts
  • Anti-Virus and anti-malware concepts
  • Basic SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) networking including commodity level firewalls and wireless
