A Human Resources Consultant position is currently being recruited for in Hammonton, NJ!

Our client company is an energy services company that is primarily concerned with distributing natural gas to the local area. They promote clean technology and renewable energy by providing their services for retail customers and developing on-site production facilities. 

The HR Consultant is responsible for supporting the HR team and other business units with organization/management and recruitment. The ideal candidate is sympathetic, has high emotional intelligence, and is knowledgeable about HR practices. This temporary position offers $43 an hour!

Responsibilities of the HR Consultant include:

  • Effectively developing solutions with HR Staff.
  • Supporting change through programs and initiatives that support a high-performance culture.
  • Supporting and administering training programs and initiatives that align with People Strategy.
  • Assisting employees, supervisors, and managers in various HR issues from intake of the issue, researching necessary information, soliciting any necessary resource or experts, and resolving the issue.
  • Assisting in implementation and maintaining human resources policy and procedures.
  • Assisting in the requisition and recruitment process by partnering with business lines to help managers.
  • Assisting in resolving employee relations issues and conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Assisting with the writing/creation of job descriptions and job design. 
  • Supporting business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Assisting with personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Staying up-to-date with legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Personnel Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources including employee relations and business partner experience
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
