Medicare Customer Service Representative

Philadelphia, PA | Contract

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting Medicare Customer Service Representatives for Contract positions in Philadelphia, PA.

The ideal candidate should be an organized strong multi-tasker, who is self-motivated with great customer service skills. They should handle high stress situations with ease, and thrive in a busy environment. They should have a proven record of personal and professional achievement and able to master modern technologies as needed. A strong candidate should have the ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and an ardent desire to help a business grow.


  • Shift start times vary from 8am to 10am with end time varying from 4:15pm to 6:15pm
  • Overtime hours may become mandatory based on business needs. If mandatory overtime hours are enacted, this typically would involve two additional hours on Mondays, one on Tuesday, and four on either Saturday or Sunday.
  • Training will be held Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:15pm.

Responsibilities of the Medicare Customer Service Representative:

  • Answer inbound phone calls in a fast paced environment.
  • Give information and answer relevant questions for customers as they arise.
  • Escalate any inquiries that are above your realm of knowledge.
  • Record information into the database to keep records of all conversations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements of the Medicare Customer Service Representative:

  • 2 years’ customer service experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and health care products
  • 1-2 years' experience in the health insurance industry with a combined focus on production and quality.  
  • Experience working with the elderly population helpful
  • Experience working with the elderly population helpful. Demonstrates ability to deal effectively with others and have a willingness to be a team player.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, including the operation of office equipment, such as personal computers and word processing, spreadsheet and presentation programs.
