HR Manager

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting HR Managers for Direct Hire positions in Smithfield, PA.

The ideal candidate should be an organized strong multi-tasker, who is self-motivated with great customer service skills. They should handle high stress situations with ease, and thrive in a busy environment. They should have a proven record of personal and professional achievement and able to master modern technologies as needed. A strong candidate should have the ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and an ardent desire to help a business grow.

Responsibilities of the HR Manager:

  • Provide strategic and operational human resources leadership for the manufacturing site in a variety of functions.
  • Supervise the HR Generalist and help find solutions to problems that may arise.
  • Develop compensation systems to ensure fair and appropriate internal equity while staying competitive in the marketplace.
  • Provide recruitment, training, organizational development, performance management, career development, employee relations, affirmative actions ,and succession planning support as needed.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of policies and procedures of the company.
  • Oversee payroll processing and timekeeping.
  • Monitor employee assessments, coaching and training.
  • Conduct exit interviews.
  • Prepare monthly reports.
  • Update and maintain HRIS.
  • Oversee employee orientations, employee assistance, recreational activities and other employee related programs.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements of the HR Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field WITH 3-5 years' HR management OR 5-7 years' Generalist experience.
  • Experience working in an advanced technology manufacturing environment is preferred
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP certificate preferred
  • Proven leadership in driving culture of engagement and accountability
  • Strong understanding of state and local laws and compliance
  • Experience in design, development, delivery, and management of performance improvement
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Experience with ADP HRIS preferred
