Contemporary Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an HR Assistant in Philadelphia, PA.
The ideal candidate should have a friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills. They should be able to multi-task efficiently and master new systems in a timely fashion. A strong candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and good people skills.
Responsibilities of the HR Assistant:
Maintain HRIS system.
Provide day-to-day benefits administration services. Monitor employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes.
Administer all new hire paperwork and the new hire on-boarding process. Ensure all activities are carried out by responsible parties. Conduct new hire orientation.
Process all Unemployment Notices and Garnishments.
Organize and maintain employee personnel records.
Serve as first point of contact and respond to inquiries from employees about company benefits, policies and HR programs.
Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
Conduct phone screens for job applicants, manage interview process scheduling and conduct 1st round in person interviews.
Perform various office duties (i.e. make copies, file documents).
Requirements of the HR Assistant:
1-3 years of experience in HR related field or administration.
